Mid Atlantic Cohousing has launched a new initiative to recognize developers who make a significant contribution to the cohousing field. At the national conference in June 2008 the first "Developer of the Year" award was given to the three developers who gave their time, expertise and experience in creating the new DVD & Case Study Handbook.

MAC wants to make this an annual award and to present the award during the national cohousing conference sponsored by The Cohousing Association of the United States.

Guidelines for nominating a developer for the award will be published after the New Year.
