The snowdrops are blooming in home of Mid Atlantic Cohousing member community, ,Three Groves EcoVillage. Spring flowers foreshadow the long expected groundbreaking of this super green and sustainable cohousing community in late Spring or Summer of this year.
To help them on their way … the community has launched a new website.
The website has “floor plans, prices and a snazzy video,” says Janet Hesselberth one of the long time members of the group.
Just about one hour southwest of Philly, the community has a 7.5 acre site across the street from the 125 acre Goddard Park. When completed, the community will consist of 37 two, three or four bedroom homes. The group will apply for LEED Platinum certification which is a very high standard of energy efficiency and low carbon foot print.
Fulfilling their dream of energy conservation, Hesselberth says they will have a “vast community solar array so we can achieve Net Zero Energy.”
